Valentine Stackers

I love stackers and think they are perfect for every holiday - definitely not an original idea these days, but I still love them.  I have several sets but I wanted to make some to go with my red/black/white theme this year.

I went to Home Depot and had a 2x2 piece of wood cut into 4, 6, 8 and 10 inch pieces.  Painted them Americana Primary Red.

Then cut some strips of scrapbook paper to fit on each block.

I ordered some vinyl from Utah Vinyl and added it to the paper.

Then used a little Mod Podge and attached them to the blocks and put another coat on top to seal it.

I put them on top of my cupboards.

I made three sets and have one set of vinyl left over for one of you lucky readers.

Does anyone want to make a set?  Just leave me a comment to win the vinyl only - deadline is January 29 midnight (MST).

  9. I love making things with vinyl! Thanks for the tutorial! I have never made any stackers with 2x4s, just flat signs so far but this looks quick and easy, I think I will give it a try! Hmmm, I see another trip to Home Depot in the near future for me!`
