So have you noticed I haven't posted for a couple weeks.  Life has been busy.  I had to work last week, and when I have to work 5 days a week, I don't get much else accomplished.  This week my oldest was home sick a couple days and I have been trying to catch up on house stuff - you know how that goes.  But being 9 months pregnant on top of that - I admit, I just run out of steam.

Today I am 37 weeks, which is considered full term.  Guess little guy is welcome to come any time now.  I have been doing laundry, packing my hospital bag and making other preparations so I think I'm getting closer to being ready.  My mom arrives in town on Tuesday - so we're looking forward to having her visit for a few weeks.

One simple project I wanted to share was this laugh sign.  I picked it up at the Dollar Tree last year and it was originally unfinished.  I spray painted it black.  But then changed it up and painted it white.  This time I decided to go red.

My son's room (which will now be the baby room) has red accents, so this was perfect.

I think I want to add a few more red touches as well.

Maybe some red frames here and there - we'll see what I come up with.

35 Weeks

So I don't think I have mentioned this yet, but we're expecting a . . .

March 16 is my official due date.  But with my track record - I'll be surprised if I make it that far.  So today I'm celebrating 35 weeks.  That's exactly when this guy was born.

Now if I make it to 37 1/2 weeks - that's when this guy was born.

So we have no idea what to expect with this one.  But we're thinking he'll be coming early too.  But for now, we're just trying to get ready for his arrival.

We've had to do a little bedroom shuffling and I have a few other projects in the works I hope to share with you soon.

So stay tuned.

Oreo Pops

I thought it would be fun to make some cookies on a stick - or in this case, chocolate covered Oreos on a stick for some Valentine treats.  Here are my supplies.

Melted my chocolate, dipped away, then added a few sprinkles before the chocolate hardened.  I wrapped them individually in a sucker bag, tied it with a bit of ribbon and was done.

I made a whole bouquet of them.  They sure are yummy too.

Valentine's Day is only a week away.  I need to get busy finishing up some final projects.

Tie Onesie

Okay, I've seen these cute tie onesies all over the place - but I wanted to try my hand at making some.  Of course, this 15 minute project turned into a 5 hour project because my sewing machine wasn't cooperating one bit - come to find out the bobbin was wound too loose and was messing up my tension (only took me 5 hours to figure that out).

I bought the materials at Walmart, including the onesies.  Just as an FYI, I checked out both the Gerber onesies and the Baby of Mine (Walmart brand) and liked the thickness of the Baby of Mine much more, so bought a pack of 3.

I ended up making them all the same.  I thought they turned out pretty good for my first attempt.  Especially, since I pull out my sewing machine about once a year to use.  I may just have to make a few more.  I plan to give these away as gifts.

A Little Photo Shoot

So at least once a year (usually around their birthday), I try to have pictures professionally taken of my boys.  Well my oldest had his birthday a couple months ago and I still hadn't gotten his yearly picture taken.  I finally called up my cousin and set up a photo shoot.  She did an amazing job.  Just look how adorable these pictures are.

This is just a sampling of the photos she took.  So if you need a little photo shoot and are in the Salt Lake City area, but sure to check out Annie Lee Photography.  She does a fantastic job!
