Monogram "H"
I bought this wooden H at the Wood Connection last year and gave it a coat of black spray paint and then it sat and sat and sat, until last week I finally got around to finishing it.

I found some scrapbook paper with some fire trucks and other vehicles on it.

I used some Mod Podge to attach to my H.

Then I added a few embellishments and sent it off to my brother-in-law, who is a fireman, and his family to display in their new home.

This may be a silly question, but how do you cut your scrapbook paper so that there is a bit of wood showing around each piece? I've noticed you've done it in all of your letter decorating, but I was curious how you did it. Do you just trace the letter and then cut a little inside the line?
ReplyDeleteYep, trace the letter and cut on the inside of the line to leave a bit of the paint to show through.
