I had a set of 3 candlesticks that I wanted to give a little face lift to and I was a little inspired by the girls over at Shanty2Chic, so here's what I did.

I had my nice cousin chop them in half for me. Thanks Tiff!! I had a few pieces of wood left over from another project and I found some table legs at the Home Depot for $.99 each. So here is what I started with.

I first drilled a pilot hole for the table leg and then screwed that in the top.

I used some wood glue and attached the candlesticks. I gave one of them a coat of black spray paint.

Then a coat of white spray paint and sanded the edges a bit for the black to show through.

I found some cute tacks at Walmart for $3.00 to use to attach a photo.

This is how it turned out. I love it!! By using the tacks, I can easily change out my photo. I have two of these left so I'll show you those later.
