A Purdy Notebook

Yesterday I put together a covered notebook for my niece who will be celebrating her birthday next month. It's the composition size notebook that I picked up from Walmart for $.99. One day while I was at the dollar store - Honks - I stumbled upon a Chatterbox scrapbook kit. It had loads of fun coordinating paper and embellishments for only a dollar. So this is what I came up with.


I just love the blue and greens. It's so purdy. I've seen all different kinds of covered notebooks all over blog land and they're so fun and easy to make. I made another one you can see here using a paper sack to give it handles.


I also covered a steno pad for a gift as well using some of the same paper from the kit I purchased.
