Working 9 to 5
For over a week now, I have been working full time to help fill in for a co-worker who is out on maternity leave. Kudos to you moms out there that work full time, keep a family feed and dressed - in clean clothes, your house in tip top shape, find time to blog, make fun crafts and tackle so many home decor projects. I survived the first week, but it did take it's toll and now I have a cold to boot, but it's getting much better.
So needless to say I haven't had much time for anything - including blogging. Once we finally get home - usually after 6:00, make some dinner, clean up, do reading time, baths, get in a couple minutes of play time, it's time for bed and time to start the process all over again. I am usually on the computer all day at work, who wants to come home and jump on the computer again - know what I mean?
I do have some exciting news - I entered my Gerber Daisy Specimen Art into The CSI Project's weekly link party last week.
I was Amanda's Pick. So that totally made my day.
I love those daisies.
Ever since I took down my St. Patrick's Day decor my little Dollar Tree frame has been sitting empty. So I decided no matter how late it was, I was going to do something with that frame. Isn't it pathetic.
Can you believe it's been like that for more than a month now? See, no kidding, I took this tonight.
So I pulled out some of my scrapbook supplies - I keep coming back to this paper combo.
I cut a 3.5 x 3.5 out of the gray flower paper.
Then cut out a 2.5 x 2.5 of the yellow.
Add my Gerber Daisy sticker.
And then use some alphabet stickers to spell out SPRING.
It still needed a little something, so I used my black pen and made some dashes around the edge.
I used a little double sided tape to attach the two pieces of paper together.
And then put it in my frame.
Super simple and now my poor frame isn't empty anymore. I even made two of them.
Anybody want the other one? Just leave me a comment and I will randomly select someone on Monday, April 25.
