Little Birdie Houses

I had supplies to make some more pedestal birdhouses, so I thought I would make some for my kitchen.  I showed you the large one I made here.

I also made a couple for my spring mantel here using these supplies.  Notice those candlesticks were cut off?

And this is how they turned out.

So for this project I am using the tops of those green candlesticks.  I started out with this.

I painted the bases, pedestals, and roofs white.  The houses I painted yellow.

The yellow was a little bright so I watered down some white paint and brushed it on like a white wash.  Then I sanded and stained everything.

Then I used some Elmer's wood glue and glued the pieces together.

Let them dry overnight and I was done.

Okay, I think I am officially done making pedestal birdhouses for this year.  Tomorrow I'll show you where I put them.
